Santa Anita Hot Yoga Studio opened in May 2014. We offer a  heating system built especially for hot yoga. We provide a comfortable, clean, and safe temperature for each session by controlling the heat and adding 50-60% humidity. The practice room uses two filteration systems to provide quality and clean air to breathe. The studio uses ZebraMat antimicrobial flooring to prevent injuries and any  smell;  between each class the room is cleaned. We are happy to create a community where our team work shows in providing Arcadia, Pasadena and the entire San Gabriel Valley with a unique and friendly atmosphere.
Yoga is often accompanied by meditation, aromatherapy, traditional singing bowls and music. Ask us about these extras that we include if you are interested in learning more.

Owner/manager and founder:

Kayla Stra was born in Australia, 1984. A lover of animals, she became a professional thoroughbred jockey, obtaining her license to race at the young age of 17. She moved to America to be with the American family side in 2007 to further her career.
In 2010, she discovered Hot Yoga while racing in San Francisco. After a few classes, she found that the yoga gave her a level of pain relief that medication wasn’t able to provide. It also helped her understand her body better, as well as a great sense of mental clarity.
She completed a certification to teach yoga in 2014. Now, she lives in Southern California with her beautiful family. Filled with the need to share her passion and life-changing experience, she opened Santa Anita Hot Yoga Studio with the inspiration to have others inspire others naturally as they grow to be happier and healthier.

Kayla currently supports  CARMA org . for retired racehorses and  handinpawrescue.com for promoting dog adoption. Kayla is a registered animal therapy team with her dog 'Bruiser Bee' through  Pet Partners and you may see him at the studio occasionally. And through racing and show jumping on the equine side of things Kayla is currently sponsored by : Goode Rider who provide clothing to get her through a day filled of horses, meetings, children and Yoga!

“Enjoy. Love.
Be happy, be healthy
and be compassionate.”  Kayla Stra
